Our First DARE Class

Today our group met with Mrs. Peggy's to have our first DARE class.  The instructor is Mr. Keith Smith, a deputy with the Pickett County Sheriff's Department.  The students learned what DARE stands for and introduced themselves by telling a "cool thing" they enjoy doing.  Lesson one was about making decisions.  Each student has a workbook for the class and the DARE mascot Darren comes to each class with Deputy Smith.  At the end of the twelve week course there will be a graduation ceremony.
