We made it through our first full week, the students seem to have energy to spare, but I was running out of steam!
Today we completed a worksheet about elevation maps before lunch. After lunch we went to the computer lab and logged into our accounts at Discovery Education where we watched a video about landforms and learned how to search for information. We found a song about landforms and downloaded it so we can listen next week!
Discovery Education is a site our school subscribes to and I have created an account for all my students. It has some great videos, images, clip art and music. We will use it for research and to make some multi-media presentations. The students can access their accounts from any computer that connects to the web. If you have Internet access at home they can share with you.
Some of the students were very excited about their Discovery Education accounts and were already planning what they would present. It is amazing how quickly they learned to navigate and use this site!
