On Monday and Tuesday we finished up the end of chapter 4 questions, completed our workbook pages and then on Tuesday I gave an open book test over the chapter. On Wednesday we had DARE. Next Wednesday will be our last DARE meeting. In order to graduate or participate in any field trips the students must write a report about what they have learned in their weekly lessons. Deputy Smith will give them more information next Wednesday.
Thursday we had a school holiday in honor of Veterans' Day.
We will finish the week by reading a chapter from Little House on the Prairie and viewing a video about the Homestead Act, which we studied in chapter 4. We will also choose a topic or person from the chapters we have studied so far and then create a poster project using resources from the computer lab.
