Tuesday, October 26th

On Tuesday we finished our study of the Civil War.  We read our text in lesson four and watched a movie about Reconstruction from Discovery Education.  Some of the topics in lesson four were the Freedmen's Bureau and sharecropping. We learned that Rutherford B. Hayes became the President in 1876 and Reconstruction ended when he ordered all the Union troops to leave the South.
We need to finish the end of the chapter and have a test to complete our study of the Civil War.
That will have to wait until Thursday, because Wednesday is our DARE Class.
Our class spend some extra time to together on Tuesday because just as the class was about to end, the tornado alarms send us into our safe places in the hallway!  We made the best of the situation and the students were well behaved.
