Everyone arrived back from break rested and refreshed and ready to finish the Civil War.  Our week will be out of sync because of DARE and Halloween on Wednesday and Friday, so we tried to cover as much text as possible today.  Our topic was the reconstruction after the Civil War. We finished lesson three which told us about Lincoln and Johnson's plans for reconstruction.  We learned what the southern states had to do to rejoin the Union.  Right before the bell we copied the vocabulary words for lesson four in our notebooks and made plans to finish the text tomorrow before lunch.  To break up the text reading we had a little review in the middle of class, where I asked questions and students who answered correctly earned $5.00 classroom cash.
