It's been a few days....
Once again things have gotten a little crazy with all the snow days. Today, we did not meet in 4th period. With the writing assessment coming up so fast for 5th and 8th grades, Mr. Tompkins decided to skip 2nd and 4th period in order to have those students in their English and Reading classes today. Sorry it's took so long for me to update, but we will catch up really fast.
On Tuesday, we took our 1st States Quiz, and the students did really well. We also discussed that the snow days had made homework schedules crazy too, so we put off the Civil Rights Movement quiz until the next time we meet.
We also have designated Fridays as our new States Quiz day, and the students were given the next states they were to study: Virgina, North Carolina, South Carolina, Missouri, Arkansas, and Mississippi. We are doing six states this time in order to cover all of the Tennessee border states.
Here is a picture of our map. We have color coded it so we know what to study next. We should already know the orange ones, which is what we had the test over Tuesday. This week's quiz will be the blue states, and next week we will begin the reddish/violet states such as Illinois, Indiana, etc.
